How guides on this site are written, what they claim, and how to request a correction.
Who we are
"EmilyAnnePhotography.com Editorial Team" is the name used for content published on this website. It does not refer to a photographer named Emily Anne or to any photography business. This site is independent and is not a studio.
Research, not hands-on testing
Our guides are based on research: manufacturers' specifications, established photography practice and general buying considerations. Unless an article clearly says otherwise, we have not personally tested the products or product types mentioned. We avoid phrases such as "we tested" or "our favorite" when they are not true, and we describe features to look for rather than ranking individual products.
Product links
- Product suggestions link to Amazon search results for a product type, not to one "best" product. This keeps links from going stale and lets you compare current options, prices and reviews yourself.
- Affiliate links are marked "(Amazon)", and every guide that has them opens with a disclosure.
- We do not show prices, because they change often.
- Commissions do not decide what a guide recommends. Many guides suggest buying nothing, buying used or using what you already own.
Images
The illustrations on guides and the sample photos in the homepage brand mock-up were created with an AI image generator (Canva) for this site. They show what an article covers. They are not photographs of real clients, products we tested, or anyone's portfolio.
Older articles
Some articles were first published in 2024 and have since been reviewed. The review removed references to an earlier photography business, fixed formatting and added practical guidance. Each article shows its first-published and updated dates.
Corrections
If something is inaccurate or out of date, please use the contact form and choose "Editorial correction". We review every correction request.
